1. How do Pawnshops work?

Pawnshops are the oldest form of banking. We make collateral loans on your personal property. We specialize in gold, platinum, and diamonds.

2. How much can I expect to get on my items?

Every loan is treated differently. However, as a general rule we loan 10-25% of the retail value. With jewelry items, we go by the weight of the metal , the karat, and the current price of gold.

3. Are my items insured while they are in pawn?

Unfortunately, your items are not insured while in pawn.  We try our best to provide you with the best possible security. We suggest you consult your insurance agent prior to pawning your items.

4. How long are the loans for?

The loans are written up for a five-month period.

5. How do I extend my loans?

In most cases, you can pay the finance charge and receive an additional five months.  The finance charge on your ticket is for loans that are paid on or before the due date.  For loans in the ten day grace period please refer to the last box of the schedule of charges on your ticket.

6. May I extend my loan more than once?

Yes, in most cases you can extend the loan as many times as necessary.

7. What happens if I lose my ticket(s)?

If you lose your tickets there will be a $3.00 charge for each missing ticket.  You must have identification with you.

8. How much interest do I have to pay?

The State of California regulates the maximum pawnshops can charge.  At We Lend More, we offer a discount if your pick up your items in the first or second month of your loan.

9. What type of identification is required to obtain a loan?

A Valid ID is required to make a loan.  Passport, valid driver’s license, or any government issue ID will work.

10. Do I need proof of ownership to pawn my items?

Although proof of ownership is not always required, all transactions at We Lend More are reported to law enforcement and you will be held responsible if your items turn out to be stolen.

11. May I get information regarding my load over the phone?

All the information regarding your loans can be found on the loan contract.  We cannot answer specific questions about loans that do not belong to you.

12.  May someone else pick up my loans?

Generally, only the person making the loan can pick up the loan.  If you would like someone else to redeem your items, please sign the pawn ticket at the “x” and provide a note instructing us who to release your items to. If your signature matches the original we have on file, we will release your items to the designated person.

You may renew your loan by following these steps.

1. Send in the pawn tickets signed at the “x.” Keep a copy of the tickets for your records.

2.
